Hello everybody,
some of you may already know that I have been living in Thailand; on and off for the last 4 years. I spent a lot of time in Trang Thailand where I was lucky enough to meet some amazing people living with disabilities. Two years ago I started a fundraiser with them called the Trang Wheelchair Society

Trang Wheelchair Society is a group of people with disabilities in Trang Thailand who are trying their best to support one another.
Over the years I was able to raise over $3000 and help over 50 people with disabilities get access to things like wheelchairs, and very important daily life necessities like diapers, bed pads, rice, and feeding tube nutrition. The Thailand government only gives it’s disabled population 800 Thai baht per month, this is about $23 USD.
The cost of one 26 pack of diapers is about 500 baht - meaning most Thais with disabilities can only afford one pack of diapers per month. It’s incredibly hard for someone with a disability to get and keep a job so this 800 baht per month is truly not enough.
When people are unable to afford hygiene products it causes infections which can lead to much bigger problems.
Trang wheelchair society has been collecting donations and delivering diapers and other necessities as much as possible over the last few years.
The goal is to help make the lives of this community more comfortable, safer, and full.
Things like diapers and food are an endless need. We are hoping to get as much funding as possible and help as many people as possible live a happy and healthy life.
If you can even donate one dollar it makes a difference, the exchange rate from US dollars to Thai baht is 32 baht to one US dollar.
Even just one pack of diapers or one bag of rice goes a very long way here and is extremely appreciated and helpful.
